While there are no formal prerequisites for enrolling in the ADEX Prep Course, it's recommended that participants possess:

Prior dental hygiene education: Ideally, you should have completed a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
Basic understanding of dental hygiene procedures: Familiarity with procedures like scaling, root planing, and periodontal assessment would be beneficial.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination: These skills are crucial for performing dental procedures effectively.

The participants during 3 hours of the program, will improve their knowledge and techniques in relation to the following program:

1. Calculus Detection & Removal:

Identifying different types of calculus (supragingival and subgingival)
Utilizing appropriate instruments for scaling and root planing
Safe and effective techniques for calculus removal
Maintaining proper ergonomics and posture
2. Periodontal Pocket Depth Measurements:
- Understanding the significance of periodontal pocket depth measurements
- Utilizing periodontal probes for accurate measurements
- Recording and interpreting pocket depth measurements
3. Tissue Management:
- Maintaining healthy oral tissues during procedures
- Recognizing and managing signs of inflammation
- Proper retraction techniques for optimal visualization
