The Florida Board of Dentistry approves this course. It ins intendes for international dentist, hygienists, dental assistants from another state, or on-the-job trained dental assistant by a licensed dentist in expanded functions duties with a minimum of three months of on-the-job training. The primary objective is to prepare Dental Assistants in Florida for certification and training in Expanded Functions for dental auxiliaries in Florida and Georgia per Florida Statutes, Section 466.024(6) and Board of Dentistry Rule 64B5-16.005

An intensive, practice-based course that helps dentist to prepare for the bench test exam required to admissions process for international dentist.

Orthodontics Assistant Training is a continuing education program of further education whose goal is to make the dental assistant acquire basic knowledge and dexterities in a practical form as a Dental Assistant of the Orthodontist under its direct supervision. Completing this program benefits the participant in 2 aspects: strengthening the professiona preparation, which in turn helps to obtain more dental assistant skills and a better salary.

The Dental Hygienist hands-on training component of the program allows students to practice their clinical and judgment skills in a typodont simulator. This simulated environment helps students gain experience and confidence in performing various dental procedures to improve their practice or apply for the ADEX examination to request a dental hygienist license in Florida.

In this course, students are taught the techniques and tools used in dental charting. They learn to accurately record and interpret the information gathered during a dental examination. 

This course provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist dentists and dental hygienists in a dental office setting. Students learn about dental procedures, infection control, radiography, dental materials, and patient care. Upon completion of the course, students are equipped with the necessary skills to work as a dental assistant in Florida.
